The arrival of Fox's Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World on Blu-ray Disc has been a long time coming. One delay after another has finally brought us to May 13, 2008, when the Russell Crowe adventure can finally be unleashed in 1080p video, DTS-HD Master Audio, and for those with the gear, D-BOX Motion.
In addition to a high definition presentation, Master and Commander on Blu-ray will also include an exclusive historical and geographical pop-up map that appears during the film to chart Jack Aubrey and his enemies, personal scene selections, search content, and the trailer in HD.
