'Doomsday' Blu-ray Disc Specs Revealed

May 05, 2008

Last Friday we reported Universal Studios Home Entertainment would release Doomsday on July 29, their first day-and-date Blu-ray Disc.

Following up on that report, Universal has officially announced Blu-ray and DVD versions of Doomsday with complete discs specs, including confirming the Blu-ray version will include the unrated cut of the film.

Doomsday on Blu-ray will be presented in widescreen 1080p video and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio.

Supplemental features will include a feature-length audio commentary with director Neil Marshall and cast members Sean Pertwee, Darren Morfitt, Rick Warden and Les Simpson; the Reaper Files; Tech Specs; and Picture-in-Picture video. Aside from the commentary, all these features are Blu-ray exclusive which leads us to believe the featurettes found on the DVD version not appearing on Blu-ray have been ported into the picture-in-picture feature.

Doomsday (Unrated) on Blu-ray will carry an SRP of $39.99. Check back regularly for high resolution cover art.
