'Buzz! Quiz TV ' PS3 Details, First Screens

Sony Computer Entertainment has announced the Buzz! TV franchise will make the leap from Playstation 2 to Playstation 3 this fall in Buzz! Quiz TV.

Buzz! Quiz TV, developed by Relentless Software, will come packaged with a minimum of two wireless buzzer controllers. If past games are any indication, the likely number of controllers included will be four.

Buzz! Quiz TV includes over 5,000 questions spanning 5 genres: Music, Movies & TV, Sports, Brainiac and Lifestyle, any of which can be selected at any time with the new channel hopper. Additional channel packs will offer 500 questions each and be available for purchase via the Playstation Network.

If four-player action isn't enough, Buzz! Quiz TV will allow a team of four players in the same room to square off against a team of four other players via the Playstation Network. In addition, 8 players can square off in the same room together, This is the first 8-player matches have been made available in the series.

Besides online play, the move to Playstation 3 allows Sony to deliver Buzz! Quiz TV's visuals in high definition. Check out the screens below for a first glimpse.
