'Belly' Coming Up on Blu-ray in August

Lionsgate Home Entertainment has announced Belly starring Nas, DMX, T-Boz and Method Man is coming to Blu-ray Disc on August 12. The release is timed to coincide with the standard DVD debut of Belly 2: Millionaire Boyz Club, which will not be appearing on Blu-ray Disc (yet).

Technical specs have not been released for Belly on Blu-ray though given the 7.1 DTS-HD Master Audio treatment The Doors is receiving, we'd guess Belly will receive a similar treatment in either 5.1 or 7.1 channels.

For supplements, Lionsgate is packing in a feature-length audio commentary with director Hype Williams, a deleted scene, the "Grand Finale" music video and multiple spoken word featurettes.

Belly on Blu-ray will carry an SRP of $29.99. Check back regularly for high resolution cover art and a pre-order link.
